Article 43 مكرر of Constitution of the State of Kuwait

A standing committee of five members, called the Priorities Committee, shall be formed, including the chairman of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee and the chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee. It shall have the following functions: - 1 Drawing up, at the beginning of each session, the legislative work plan for the forthcoming session, including the proposed laws and draft laws which the committee considers the Assembly should examine during the session, arranged according to their importance and priorities and distributed among the sittings held by the Assembly during the session, in consultation with the Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs, the Minister of State for Council of Ministers Affairs and other concerned ministers. The committee shall submit this plan to the Speaker of the Assembly, who shall present it as a proposal to the Bureau of the Assembly. 2 Reviewing the draft agenda of the sitting prepared by the General Secretariat of the National Assembly in light of the legislative work plan for the session. The committee may propose such amendments to this agenda as it considers appropriate by advancing, deferring, deleting or adding items. The agenda shall be presented to the Speaker of the Assembly for a decision thereon. 3 Following up with the Assembly's committees regarding completion of the proposed laws and draft laws included on the committees' agendas, so that each committee prepares the reports falling within its competence in a manner ensuring that the legislative work plan for the session proceeds within its specified time limits. All other provisions concerning parliamentary committees shall apply to this committee insofar as they do not conflict with the nature of its work.
