English translation
The husband must deliver the dower, and he is liable for it until he delivers it. If it perishes before delivery, even without wrongdoing or negligence, he shall be liable for its equivalent if it is fungible and its value if it is non-fungible.

يجب على الزوج تسليم المهر، وهو مضمون عليه حتى يسلمه، فلو تلف قبل
