Article 1 of Private Sector Labour Law

In applying the provisions of this Law, the term: 1 - Ministry: means the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour. 2 - Minister: means the Minister of Social Affairs and Labour. 3 - Worker: means every male or female who performs manual or mental work for the benefit of an employer and under the employer's management and supervision in return for remuneration. 4 - Employer: means every natural or legal person who employs workers in return for remuneration. 5 - Organization: means an organization of all a group of workers or employers whose businesses, professions or jobs are similar or connected, which safeguards their interests, defends their rights and their representation in all matters relating to their affairs.
