Article 65 of Child Rights Law

The State shall ensure the satisfaction of the child's cultural needs in all fields, including literature, arts and knowledge, and their connection to the values of society within the framework of human heritage and modern scientific progress. The State shall also establish, and work to implement, the plans and programmes necessary to develop the child's sense of belonging and loyalty to the homeland, respect for human rights and public freedoms, and respect for the child's family, cultural identity, language and national values, through the following: a- Providing means of knowledge and communication and enabling the child to use modern technologies. b- Broadcasting purposeful educational programmes and disseminating information that helps develop the child's abilities and broaden the child's understanding. c- Encouraging scientific research through dealings with cultural and research institutions, publishing houses, public libraries and cultural clubs, and working to provide books and means that raise the child's level of awareness and develop the child's knowledge, and nurturing gifted children and encouraging them to innovate and create.
