Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 12
State of Kuwait · Personal Status · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office
English translation of the principle
The legislature’s establishment of one personal-status circuit in the various courts to hear its disputes does not prevent their general assemblies from establishing more than one circuit to hear them and assigning each jurisdiction over a particular type of those disputes. Any such circuit deciding a dispute falling within another circuit’s jurisdiction. Does not violate the rules of subject-matter jurisdiction. The reason for this. This division is an internal organisation.

Original Arabic judgment citations
