English translation of the principle

Mental illness and equivalent conditions that eliminate liability in law. They are those that eliminate understanding or result in loss of the ability to direct the will generally. Other illnesses and psychological conditions that diminish or weaken these two faculties without reaching the point at which the person loses all understanding or will do not constitute a ground for absence of liability. The basis for this. - Assessment of the accused's mental condition. A factual matter which the court of merits independently determines, provided it is reasonable. - The judgment's inference from the appellant's statements and conduct after the incident that his mental faculties were sound when it occurred. Unobjectionable. The limit thereof. - 32 - Criminal Law
