Judicial principle — Kuwait Court of Cassation

Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 643

State of Kuwait · Penal Law · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

A prostitution establishment whose establishment or management is prohibited is any premises exploited for the practice of debauchery and prostitution. Article 203 of the Penal Code. Preparing the premises specifically for that practice or having their exploitation for that purpose as their object. Not necessary. It is sufficient that they are a private dwelling prepared for letting, that the lessor knows that they will be operated for debauchery and prostitution, and that they are actually operated for that purpose. Example.
