The basis of punishment for the offence of issuing a cheque without funds. That the instrument has the appearance of a cheque and was delivered on that basis. Absence of the word cheque from the body of the instrument. Does not prevent its being regarded as a cheque for purposes of criminal liability. Reason thereof. - Photocopy of the cheque:-
