The rules governing warranty against defects. Are not matters of public policy. Agreement to amend them by increasing or excluding the warranty is permissible. - The seller's warranty of the sold item's fitness for operation for a specified period. Its implication. The warranty covers any kind of malfunction in the sold item, even if it is not a defect in the aforementioned sense. The buyer must notify the seller of the malfunction in the sold item within a month of its appearance for the seller to be bound by the warranty if it refuses to repair that malfunction. - 502 - Obligation

أحكام ضمان العيب. ليست من النظام العام. جواز الاتفاق على تعديلها بالزيادة أو الإسقاط. - ضمان البائع صلاحية المبيع للعمل مدة معينة. مؤداه. شمول الضمان لأي نوع من الخلل في المبيع ولو لم يكن عيباً بالمعنى المذكور.وجوب إخطار المشترى للبائع بالخلل في المبيع خلال شهر من ظهوره حتى يتحقق الزام البائع بالضمان إذا رفض إصلاح ذلك الخلل. - ٥٠٢ - التزامOriginal Arabic judgment citations
