English translation of the principle

A void marriage produces none of the effects of marriage. A marriage is void if the wife is within the prohibited degrees of kinship by blood, breastfeeding or affinity, or is another man's wife or observing her waiting period following marriage to him, or has been divorced three times by the husband, or cannot lawfully be married concurrently with a woman already married to him, or does not profess a revealed religion.
