English translation of the principle

The jurisdiction of the Rentals Circuit of the Court of General Jurisdiction arises only where the dispute submitted to the court relates to a provision of Decree-Law 35 of 1978 concerning the leasing of premises. The determining factor for jurisdiction is the claims advanced by the claimant in his action. Example concerning claims not arising from a rental relationship.
