English translation of the principle

The authority of res judicata. Its relation to public policy. Its implication: a judgment rendered by a judicial body vested with jurisdiction, decisively adjudicating the whole or part thereof, acquires authority that may not be disregarded on the assertion that it was rendered in violation of the rules of subject-matter jurisdiction. The reason therefor: the primacy of the authority of res judicata over considerations of public policy.
