State of Kuwait · Pleadings — Part Three · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

Judgments rendered by the court of first instance as final judgments may not be appealed unless the law provides otherwise, or they were rendered contrary to a previous judgment that has not acquired the force of res judicata, are affected by nullity, or are based on void proceedings. - A judgment of the Court of First Instance is final if the value of the action does not exceed five thousand dinars. This applies to all disputes within that court's jurisdiction. Judgments rendered by the Labour Circuit are not excepted from that rule.
