Contract agency. Its nature: a contract under which a person undertakes, on a continuing basis in a specified area of activity, to solicit and negotiate the conclusion of transactions in the principal’s interest, or to conclude them and sign and perform contracts in the principal’s name and for his account. The legislature’s requiring only written proof thereof and not subjecting it to a registration requirement. Article 274 of the Commercial Code.
