English translation of the principle

The regulation of the practice of ship agency contained in the Maritime Commerce Law is intended to enable interested parties to enforce judgments issued in their favour against foreign carriers. This regulation does not affect the provisions regulating how agency is formed, terminated and proved. - The bank guarantee or cash deposit that a ship agent is obliged to lodge with a bank guarantees enforcement of judgments issued against the maritime carrier from the entry into force of the Maritime Commerce Law.
