Judicial principle — Kuwait Court of Cassation

Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 2627

State of Kuwait · Pleadings — Part Three · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

The scope of a cassation challenge does not extend beyond the challenged judgment. The chapter on cassation challenges contains no provision analogous to that concerning appeals, whereby an appeal against the judgment rendered on the merits of the appeal necessarily entails an appeal against all preceding judgments unless they have been expressly accepted. Example.
