Judicial principle — Kuwait Court of Cassation

Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 2922

State of Kuwait · Pleadings — Part Three · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

The scope of an appeal in cassation does not extend beyond the judgment being challenged. An appeal in cassation against the judgment terminating the proceedings does not necessarily entail a challenge to all judgments previously rendered before it, as is prescribed in respect of an appeal.
