English translation of the principle
Damage resulting from multiple faults of numerous persons, each having committed a fault. Their joint and several liability to the injured party for full compensation. In their relationship with one another, the burden of liability is apportioned according to the role of each person’s fault in causing the damage; if that is impossible, it is apportioned equally. The injured party may have recourse against them all or confine his action to one of them, and the latter may have recourse against the others.

حدوث الضرر نتيجة أخطاء متعددة من أشخاص كثيرين بخطأ لكل منهم. مسؤوليتهم متضامنين في مواجهة المضرور عن التعويض كاملا.ً في نطاق العلاقة بينهم يوزع غرم المسؤولية عليهم بقدر دور خطأ كل منهم في إحداث الضرر فإن تعذر ذلك وزع بالتساوي. للمضرور الرجوع عليهم جميعاً أو قصرّ دعواه على أحدهم وللأخير الرجوع على الباقين.Original Arabic judgment citations
