Reinsurance contract: its nature and the relationships it creates. - The insured is the person who undertakes to perform the obligations corresponding to the insurer's obligations and who receives from it the insurance sum upon occurrence of the accident or realization of the insured risk. - The insured and the beneficiary may be 2 different persons. The insured is considered the beneficiary if no other beneficiary is designated in the insurance contract.
