English translation
The criminal courts shall try persons accused of committing felonies and misdemeanours within the limits provided for in this Law and in accordance with the procedures provided for therein. Contraventions shall be specified by a special law, and this special law shall regulate the courts competent to hear them and determine the rules and procedures to be followed at trial.

تتولى المحاكم الجزائية محاكمة المتهمين بارتكاب الجنايات والجنح في الحدود المنصوص
عليها في هذا القانون، وطبقا للإجراءات المنصوص عليها فيه اما المخالفات فيعينها
قانون خاص، ويتولى هذا القانون الخاص بتنظيم المحاكم المختصة بنظرها وتحديد
