The obligation in respect of a relative's maintenance is the amount sufficient to meet essential needs for food, clothing, and accommodation that preserve the relative's life and existence according to the relative's circumstances, and nothing else is obligatory.

الواجب في نفقة القريب قدر الكفاية وسد الحاجة الضرورية من الإطعام والكسوة
