English translation
The obligation is to maintain a relative by consanguinity, not by affinity, provided that the person providing maintenance has the ability and means, and provided that the person maintained is poor and unable to earn his sustenance and livelihood through work appropriate to his standing.

الواجب هو الإنفاق على القريب النسبي لا السببي بشرط قدرة المنفق ويساره وبشرط
