English translation
Custody ends when the child reaches maturity with sound judgment. Once he reaches maturity with sound judgment, no one has a right of custody over him, even his parents, let alone others. Rather, he is his own master, whether male or female, and has the choice to join whichever of them or of others he wishes.

تنتهي الحضانة ببلوغ الولد رشيدا، فإذا بلغ رشيدا لم يكـن لأحـد حـق الحضانة عليه
حتى الأبوين فضلا عن غيرهما ، بل هو مالك لنفسه ذكرا كان أم أنثى، فله الخيار
