Waqf is of two types: First: That which is constituted by two elements, namely the founder and the endowed property, and is specific to the endowment of mosques. The essence of waqf therein is liberation and release from ownership. Second: That which is constituted by three elements, namely the founder, the endowed property and the beneficiary. This applies to things other than mosques, and the essence of waqf therein is the vesting of ownership of the endowed property in the beneficiary.

الأول : ما يتقوم بأمرين هما الواقف والعين الموقوفة، ويختص بوقف المساجد،
وحقيقة الوقف فيها هو التحرير وفك الملك.
الثاني : ما يتقوم بثلاثة أمور هي الواقف والعين الموقوفة والموقوف عليه، وهو في
