Article 4 of Weapons and Ammunition Law

The licence shall be valid for one year from the date of its issuance and may be renewed for further similar periods, provided that the renewal application is submitted at least one month before the end of the licence period; otherwise, the licence shall be deemed never to have existed. In this case, the licence holder must surrender his weapon within one week, and the competent authority at the Ministry of Interior must withdraw the weapon within one month from the date of expiry of the licence. The Executive Regulations shall specify the procedures for obtaining licences and determine the fees relating to them.
