Article 48 of Domestic Workers Law

Without prejudice to any more severe penalty prescribed by the Penal Code or any other law, anyone who engages in the activity of recruiting domestic labour without a licence issued by the Ministry of Interior shall be punished by imprisonment for a period not exceeding three years and a fine not exceeding ten thousand dinars. The penalty shall be doubled in the event of recidivism within two years from the date of the final judgment in the first offence.
