Article 6 of Child Rights Law

1 - Every child shall enjoy all rights, particularly the right to breastfeeding, custody, food, clothing, housing, seeing his parents, and care of his property, in accordance with the laws concerning personal status. 2 - Every child has the right to obtain health and social care services and treatment for diseases. The State shall take all measures to ensure that children enjoy the highest attainable standard of health. The State shall ensure that parents, the child, and all sectors of society are provided with basic information relating to child health and nutrition, the advantages of breastfeeding, principles of hygiene and environmental safety, prevention of accidents, and assistance in benefiting from this information. - The State shall guarantee the child—in all fields—his right to a suitable, healthy, and clean environment, and the adoption of all effective measures to eliminate practices harmful to his health. - Subject to the duties and rights of the person responsible for the child's care and his right to mild, non-injurious discipline, intentionally subjecting the child to any harmful physical, psychological, or emotional injury or any harmful or unlawful practice is prohibited. e - The State shall guarantee priority for preserving the child's life and raising him in a sound and safe manner that ensures respect for his rights in emergencies, disasters, and wars.
