Article 1 of Anti-Commercial Fraud Law

In applying the provisions of this Law ) Regulation (, the following words and expressions shall have the meaning indicated opposite each, unless the context of the text requires otherwise: 1 - Law ) Regulation (: The Unified Law ) Regulation ( for Combating Commercial Fraud of the States of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. -2 Executive Regulations: The Executive Regulations issued in application of the provisions of this Law ) Regulation ). -3 Council States: The States of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. -4 State: The member state among the Council States. - Commercial Cooperation Committee: The ministers concerned with trade affairs in the Council States. 6 - Competent Authority: The ministry or entity responsible for implementing this Law ) Regulation ) in the State. - Minister: The minister or head of the competent authority responsible for implementing this Law ) Regulation ) in the State. - Court: The judicial authority competent in the State to adjudicate all violations, disputes, and compensation claims arising from the application of the provisions of this Law ) Regulation ). 9 - Goods: All types of essential and luxury commodities and products, raw, manufactured, and semi-manufactured materials, and everything produced or manufactured. 10 - Fraudulent Goods: Any goods subjected to alteration or imitation in any manner that causes them to lose any of their material or intangible value, whether through addition or subtraction, or a change in their essence, nature, genus, type, properties, shape, components, volumetric measure, size, number, capacity, grade, origin, or source, or advertising or promoting them contrary to their true nature. 11 - Spoiled Goods: Any goods that are no longer fit for exploitation, use, or consumption. 12 - Supplier: Every natural or legal person who imports, exports, re-exports, manufactures, produces, markets, circulates, promotes, disposes of, sells, possesses, stores, transports, or displays goods for his own account or for the account of others.
