Judicial principle — Kuwait Court of Cassation

Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 144

State of Kuwait · Personal Status · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

The required complement of witnesses—in the Maliki school—varies according to the matter testified to. If it is a matter apparent to men and is neither property nor intended to obtain property—including custody and fitness for it—it is established by the testimony of two witnesses, neither of whom is a woman.
