Judicial principle — Kuwait Court of Cassation

Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 1515

State of Kuwait · Criminal Procedure · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

The contradiction that vitiates and invalidates a judgment. Is that which occurs between its reasons such that some negate what others establish, and it is unknown which of the two the judgment intended. Example of a contradiction between acquitting the accused of some charges and convicting him of another charge on independent evidence.
