Judicial principle — Kuwait Court of Cassation

Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 573

State of Kuwait · Criminal Procedure · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

The accused's insistence that his statements in the Public Prosecution's investigations do not constitute a judicial confession because they were not made before a court. The court's not relying on them as such or treating them as the sole evidence sufficient to convict him, and its taking them as evidence among the other evidence on which it relied. Correct.
