Judicial principle — Kuwait Court of Cassation

Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 1298

State of Kuwait · Penal Law · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

Submission of a complaint by the victim—pursuant to Article 109 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and Trials—is not required for offences under the Publications and Publishing Law. The reason: Law 3 of 2006 contains no provision to that effect, and analogy is impermissible.
