English translation of the principle

Nullity or annulment of a contract. Its implication. Extinction of its effects, restoration of the position existing before contracting, and recovery by each contracting party of what it gave. - Where restitution in kind is impossible for one contracting party upon nullity of the contract, that party may be ordered to provide an equivalent. - An award of an equivalent upon nullity of the contract does not preclude an award of default interest as compensation where the debtor delays in performing its obligation.
