Fault causing damage committed by multiple persons. Its effect. Their joint and several liability for compensation arises, and each is considered liable for the full compensation vis-à-vis the injured party. As between themselves, the burden of liability is apportioned in accordance with Article 228 of the Civil Code. - The injured party has the choice of claiming compensation jointly and severally from all the multiple liable persons or limiting his action to one of them, leaving the latter to seek recourse against the other persons responsible for the damage.
