English translation of the principle

Possession of immovable property and appearing in relation to it as its owner for fifteen years constitutes a Sharia and legal presumption of the possessor’s ownership. He may add the period of his possession to the period of his predecessor’s possession to complete the period prescribed by law. - Establishing possession, its manifestations, and the facts giving rise to its material and mental elements as evidence of ownership, determining its commencement and continuity, and assessing the evidence in the action. Matters of fact independently determined by the court of merits, provided it bases its judgment on tenable grounds capable of leading to the conclusion it reached. For that purpose, it may adopt the expert’s report, when satisfied with it, as an integral supplement to the grounds of its judgment.
