Reporting crimes. A lawful right for everyone exercising it within the limits of the law. Art. 14 of the Criminal Procedure and Trials Law. Its effect. The reporting person is not liable in compensation merely because his report is false and because of the harm that may befall the person reported against as a result of this reporting. For his departure from the intended purpose of exercising the right to report and his malicious exercise thereof with a view to harming others. Its cases.
