Judicial principle — Kuwait Court of Cassation

Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 2852

State of Kuwait · Civil Matters — Volume 11 · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

Judgments rendered against the predecessor are binding upon the successor concerning the right received from him. However, judgments rendered against a particular successor have no binding effect against the grantor of the right where the latter was not joined as a party to the action.
