Agency is a revocable contract. The implication thereof. The principal may dismiss his agent at any time or restrict his agency, even if it is fixed for a specified term, unless the agency is in the agent’s interest. This pertains to public policy, and no agreement may be made - 752 - Agency contrary to it. The principal incurs no liability therefor unless he has dismissed his agent without reasonable justification or at an inappropriate time. A judgment’s departure from this and its treatment of agency as an irrevocable contract where a term has been agreed for it, such that the agent may not be dismissed before its expiry. This renders it defective and requires its cassation.
