Agency is a non-binding contract. Its import. The principal may dismiss his agent at any time or restrict his agency even if it is for a specified term, unless the agency is in the agent's interest. This concerns public policy, and agreement to the contrary is impermissible. The principal incurs no liability therefor unless he dismisses his agent without reasonable justification or at an inappropriate time. The judgment's contravention of this and its treating agency as a binding contract where a term has been agreed for it, such that the agent may not be dismissed before its expiry. This renders it defective and requires its cassation.
