Agency is a non-binding contract. Its implication. The principal may dismiss his agent at any time and may restrict his agency even before completion of the work entrusted to him or expiry of its specified term. This relates to public policy, so agreement to the contrary is impermissible. The exception. Where the agency is granted in the interest of the agent or a third party, the agent may not in this case be dismissed or his agency restricted without the consent of the person in whose interest it was granted. - Dismissal of the agent. Its effect. Termination of the agency. The principal is not liable therefor unless his dismissal of the agent was without an acceptable justification or at an inappropriate time, and he is obliged to compensate for the damage suffered by him as a result of his dismissal.
