State of Kuwait · Civil Matters — Volume 11 · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

Imposition of judicial sequestration. Its effect: the sequestrator is deemed the representative of the person concerned by operation of law. The sequestrator’s standing is established immediately upon issuance of the judgment. - The sequestrator’s task. Restricted to acts of administration and preservation. The sequestrator has standing in all actions arising from the sequestration within the scope of the task entrusted to him under the judgment appointing him. This does not prejudice the right of the owner of the property placed under sequestration to undertake all acts connected with it which do not fall within the sequestrator’s task, since it has no effect on his civil capacity. The reason for this. An example.
