The Real Estate Registration Department is the sole body addressed regarding adherence, in proving ownership upon registration, to records of physical possession issued by the notary public. - Acceptance of records of physical possession registered from 26/4/60 until the issuance of Law 73/79. Records establishing ownership through long possession may not be registered after that date except upon issuance of an enforceable judgment concerning physical possession.
