Issuance of a judgment declaring bankruptcy. Effect thereof. The bankruptcy administrator has authority to verify debts and refer disputed debts to the bankruptcy judge to determine the dispute. Rationale therefor: preventing creditors from racing to bring actions against the bankrupt and levy execution against his assets, thereby giving some an unjustified preference over others. - 465 - Civil Procedure - Action concerning the principal’s liability for the acts of his subordinate:-
