English translation of the principle
Stay of an action or appeal as a sanction. Proceedings must be resumed within the thirty days following expiry of the stay period. Filing the statement of reinstatement with the court registry within the period. Insufficient; rather, the opposing party must be served within it. Expiry of the period without completion thereof. Its effect. A judgment must be rendered deeming the action—or appeal—never to have been brought unless the defendant or respondent objects. Article 70 of the Civil Procedure Law. 20- Resumption of the action:-

وقف الدعوى أو الاستئناف جزاءً. وجوب تعجيل السير في الدعوى خلال الثلاثين يوماً التالية لانتهاء مدة الوقف. تقديم صحيفة التجديد إلى إدارة الكتاب خلال الميعاد. غير كاف بل يتعين إعلان الخصم خلاله. فوات الميعاد دون اتمام ذلك.أثره. وجوب الحكم باعتبار الدعوى - أو الاستئناف - كأن لم تكن ما لم يعترض المدعى عليه أو المستأنف عليه. م ٧٠ مرافعات. ٢٠- تعجيل الدعوى:-Original Arabic judgment citations
