Issuance of a judgment declaring bankruptcy. Its effect. Dispossessing the bankrupt, from its date, of the administration of all his property, whether connected with his trade or not. Reason therefor. All his property secures payment of his debts, and his patrimony is indivisible. This extends to property devolving upon him while he is bankrupt, and he may not conduct actions relating thereto except those confined to conservatory procedures that benefit his creditors and do not harm them. An appeal in cassation is not considered one of the conservatory procedures excepted from this prohibition. Reason therefor. An example concerning the inadmissibility of an appeal in cassation because it was lodged by the appellant after the judgment declaring his bankruptcy.
