A judgment ordering restitution. What is meant thereby. Civil compensation. It is awarded to the victim without any need for him to bring a civil claim in the criminal proceedings. - The victim has an interest and standing in enforcing the penalty of restitution even if he was not represented in the criminal action or a claimant for a civil right therein.
