State of Kuwait · Pleadings — Part Three · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

The binding authority of a first-instance judgment. Suspended upon the mere filing of an appeal against it and until the appeal is determined. If it is affirmed, the judgment acquires the force of res judicata; if it is set aside or annulled, its former binding authority ceases.
