Judicial principle — Kuwait Court of Cassation

Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 4124

State of Kuwait · Pleadings — Part Three · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

A travel-ban order. It remains effective until it expires for any reason. The debtor's obligation towards his creditor who obtained the order lapses if three years elapse from the last valid measure for enforcement of the final judgment for the debt for whose recovery the travel-ban order was issued, without the judgment creditor applying to the Enforcement Department to continue enforcement of the judgment. The reason for this. So that it does not remain imposed on the debtor indefinitely.
