Agency terminates upon the death of the principal or agent or either one's loss of legal capacity. - The principal may at any time dismiss his agent or restrict his agency, even if there is an agreement to the contrary. - The agent may withdraw from his agency, even if there is an agreement to the contrary. - Legal dispositions undertaken by the agent before his death remain effective, producing all their effects in accordance with the rules of agency. - The heirs, if they have legal capacity and are aware of the agency, must promptly notify the principal of their decedent's death and take such measures as circumstances require in the principal's interest. - These measures do not mean that they replace the decedent in his agency; rather, they are intended to safeguard the principal's interests. - Termination of agency upon the death of either party is not a matter of public policy. Agreement to the contrary is permissible. - The agency contract is not inherited. Effect thereof.
