Article 36 of Civil Code

1 - An expression of intention exists as soon as it is issued by its maker. However, it takes effect only upon coming to the knowledge of the person to whom it is addressed. 2 - Receipt of the expression of administration by the person to whom it is addressed is deemed a presumption of his knowledge of it, unless evidence to the contrary is established.
